About Text Case Converter
Copied text often arrives in the wrong case — all caps from a spreadsheet header, inconsistent capitalisation from a form export, or title case when you need sentence case for a CMS. Fixing this manually takes time and is easy to miss. This tool converts any text to upper case, lower case, title case or sentence case in one click, handling all characters correctly including accented and non-ASCII letters.
How to use Text Case Converter
Paste the text into the input box, choose the target case from the dropdown — UPPER CASE, lower case, Title Case or Sentence case — and click Run. The converted text appears in the output box ready to copy. Switch modes and rerun instantly on the same text if you need to compare options.
When to use this tool
Use this when cleaning up all-caps headings from a CMS export, normalising inconsistent capitalisation from form submissions or database exports, converting PDF heading text that arrived in title case, or preparing text for publishing with consistent capitalisation rules.
Privacy
All conversion happens locally in your browser. No text is sent to a server or stored anywhere. You can safely convert confidential documents, client data and sensitive content.
Frequently asked questions
What is Title Case?
Title Case capitalises the first letter of every word in the text. For example: The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over The Lazy Dog. It is commonly used for article headlines, product names and navigation labels.
What is Sentence case?
Sentence case capitalises only the first letter of the first word in each sentence, and lowercases everything else. It is the standard capitalisation for most body text and is increasingly used for UI headings as well.
Does it handle accented characters correctly?
Yes. The converter uses JavaScript's built-in locale-aware case conversion methods, which correctly handle accented letters and non-ASCII characters common in European and other languages.
Can I convert just part of my text?
The tool converts the entire input. To convert only part of your text, paste only that portion, convert it, then reinsert it into your document.
