About ToolboxApp
ToolboxApp is a free collection of browser-based tools for everyday text and data work. The tools cover the tasks that come up repeatedly in writing, development, analysis and content work: cleaning copied text, formatting JSON, converting between formats, encoding strings, extracting information and generating assets like QR codes and barcodes.
What we built
The library currently includes tools in six categories: Text Tools, Data Tools, Encoding Tools, Extraction Tools, Generators and Calculators. Each tool is designed around a specific, practical problem that comes up regularly — not a hypothetical use case, but something real that requires a clean, reliable solution.
Every tool page includes a description of what the tool does, instructions for how to use it, an explanation of when it is most useful, and answers to the questions that come up most often in practice.
How it works
All tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you paste text, upload content or enter values, the processing happens on your device — not on a server. Nothing you enter is ever transmitted, stored, logged or shared. You can use these tools on confidential documents, internal data and sensitive information without any privacy risk.
Why it is free
We believe that access to reliable, well-built utility tools should not require a subscription, an account or a payment. The tools on this site are completely free to use with no limits. Operating costs are covered by display advertising from Google AdSense. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes, and we do not share any user data with advertisers.
Who runs ToolboxApp
ToolboxApp is a small, independent project. We built it because we kept looking for this kind of tool — something fast, reliable and private — and could not always find it in one place. If you have feedback, a suggestion for a new tool, or a question about how something works, we are happy to hear from you.
