About QR Code Generator
QR codes are two-dimensional barcodes that encode URLs, contact information, plain text, WiFi credentials and more into a scannable image. They are used on printed materials, product packaging, marketing collateral, event tickets, restaurant menus and digital displays. This tool generates QR codes directly in your browser — no server processing, no account required, no watermark on the output.
How to use QR Code Generator
Paste a URL or text into the input box and click Run. The QR code appears as a preview in the output area. Use the Download PNG button to save a raster image for screen use, or Download SVG for a scalable vector version that prints at any size without losing quality.
When to use this tool
Use this to generate QR codes for website links on printed materials, business cards, posters and packaging. Also useful for encoding WiFi credentials for guest networks (so visitors can scan to connect), sharing contact information via vCard, linking physical products to digital resources, and creating scannable links for presentations.
Privacy
Most QR code generators track usage, require accounts, add watermarks or limit downloads. This tool generates QR codes entirely in your browser with no data sent to a server, no account and no watermark. Your URLs and content stay private.
Frequently asked questions
What size should I download for print?
Download the SVG version for any print use — it scales to any size without losing quality. Use the PNG version for digital displays, presentations and web embeds where a fixed pixel size is acceptable.
What types of content can a QR code store?
QR codes can encode any text, including URLs, email addresses, phone numbers, SMS templates, WiFi credentials in WPA mecard format (WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;;) and plain text messages.
Is there a character limit?
QR codes can store up to approximately 4,000 alphanumeric characters. In practice, shorter values produce simpler codes that scan more reliably. For URLs, using a short link improves scan reliability, especially for print at small sizes.
Does the tool add a watermark?
No. The downloaded PNG and SVG files contain only the QR code with no watermark, logo or branding from this tool.
Will the QR code still work if the URL changes?
The QR code encodes the URL you paste at the moment of generation. If the destination URL changes, the existing QR code will still point to the old URL. To point to a new URL, generate a new QR code.
